How to Register for Professional Development Sessions through myDCCCDsuccess Learning

Navigating to the Learner Homepage

Log into myPortal. You must be logged into myPortal to get to myDCCCDsuccess Learning.

In the Popular Links section on the right side of the page, click “myDCCCDsuccess.”

Select the orange “Learning” icon from the landing page OR hover over the “Learning” tab in the blue menu at the top of the page. Both options perform the same task by taking you to the Learner Home page.

Arrow pointing to Learning links

For a first time user, you must select and add subjects. We suggest choosing “Return Week” and “Professional Development” as your subjects. You may select additional subjects that you may find of interest.

For returning users, you can add more subjects by selecting the “Edit” button. You can choose to edit your subjects at any time.

Register for a Session

Once you are ready to register for a session, return to the Learner Home page (from the “Learning” tab in the blue menu at the top of the page).

Search for the session you would like to attend by entering keywords (found on our website for each session). Note that all sessions at NLC will always begin with “NLC”, while in-district sessions will begin with “DCCCD.”

Scroll down and select “Request” next to the session currently being attended. (Although this says request, you will always be registered for any session immediately after choosing request.) Notice the green text above the “Request” button stating the number of open seats. If you are ever unable to attend a session, you should select “Withdraw” from the blue button on the right side of the screen. This allows seats to be reopened for people who choose to attend.

Once you are registered, you will be directed to your transcript to view a list of active sessions.  The status for this session will show “Registered.”

Navigating to Your Transcript

Hover over the “Learning” tab in the blue bar at the top of the page. Select the “View your Transcript” option.

Arrow pointing to "View Your Transcript"

Notice the hours for your “Aggregate Training Completed.” These may not match your hours completed since this is the number of hours spent actually “in the seat.” For example, if it only took 45 minutes to complete a one hour training course, then the aggregate hours only gives you 0.75 hours instead of 1.0. This is a known issue that we are working on correcting. Please reference the hours listed on the “Learner Home” page for an accurate amount. You may also click the “Active” dropdown menu and select “Completed” to review a list of completed professional development units.

To access a full list of PDUs, will click the three dots on the top right side of your transcript and select “Run Transcript Report.”

Arrow Pointing to "Run Trasncript Report"

Perform the following:
1. Under Type, uncheck “Event”
2. Under Advanced, check “Include Training detail information” and select “PDU Credits”
3. Click “Run Report” for an Excel spreadsheet of all completed hours

Adding External Training

External training can be submitted when an employee attends or completes any professional development outside of DCCCD. Examples include webinars, conferences, workshops, etc.

Return to your transcript view by hovering over the “Learning” tab in the blue bar at the top and choosing “View Your Transcript.” Again, click the three dots on the top right side of your transcript and select “Add External Training.”

Arrow pointing to "Add External Training"

To receive credit for external training, you need to complete the form below and must attach documentation for review. If approved, it will be added to the transcript.

Add External Training Form

Note: You do not need to complete this form for LinkedIn Learning courses anymore because these are automatically posted the next business day once completed. Also, you should not be submitting this form for District trainings, as these should be registered in myDCCCDsuccess Learning just like all other professional development sessions here at North Lake.

If you’d like to review this process in person, Wildfire is offering multiple 30 minute training sessions on how to use this software. Attendees will receive 0.5 PDU’s for attending. You may look at the available dates and times by following this link.
