Employee Training Icon In this presentation, we will discuss the purpose behind Disability Awareness Month, provide examples of the various disabilities students may have, examples of what this looks like in the classroom (along with accommodations we provide), and will go over the do’s and dont’s when working with someone who has a disability. We plan for this to be an open discussion of more than just accommodations in the classroom; we want to discuss disability as a whole in both academia and work settings and answer any questions that the general public may not know.

Employee Training IconOne in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime (Texas Advocacy Project, 2018). Three in for Americans know someone who’s experienced domestic violence (Texas Advocacy Project, 2018). Twenty-eight percent of college men and forty-three percent of college women report experiencing violent and abusive behaviors (including physical, sexual, technological, verbal, or controlling abuse) from someone with whom they were in a dating relationship (Not Anymore, 2019)
